When do bullfrogs start to actively hunt after their metamorphosis?

Our bullfrog recently got his legs! Wonderful right? Now he wont eat...does anyone know how long after they change from tadpole to frog they start to eat? Or is there anything we should be doing to encourage the frog to eat? We've tried feeding crickets so far...little ones. Thanks.
