Can i train my pet frog to eat read description, best answers gets 10 points!?

i dont get why, my pet american bullfrog is scared to death of me, i just got him on sunday, it is monday, so for 2 days i owned him. Plus he wont eat in front of me. it gets me kinda frustrated. well i have 2 questions, first is, when will he be used to me, and not be scared of me, because like i think i did 1 thing wrong, i held him 2 times already, petted him, and messed around with his cage like 3 times while he was in it, i was a little protective lol, so if i leave him alone for a while, will he like me more? second is, can i like do something like put the bag of crickets in the cage when its feeding time, then let them go? and do that for like a month, then he will know when feeding time is? Also will he be comfratable to eat infront of me?
