How to move .minecraft save files back into the playable minecraft game?

i was watching yogscast and i saw the primordial desert map generator and i wanted it my minecraft was always gay and would giveme problems so i deleted it all and redownloaded minecraft and downloaded winrar to help me get Primordial Desert and the map generator downloaded fine and i placed the generated map into my save folder just like the tutorial i had looked up said but when i went play minecraft i didnt see any save files so i went back to check the folder and it was still there so my question is how do i get it into the game?????!?!!?!?!?!?!
